The Hunter Sports Centre is one of the region's premier sporting venues, about 5 minutes from us. Enjoy big shopping malls in the area. Explore Blackbutt Reserve provides nature trails, wildlife exhibits, children’s playgrounds and recreational facilities. The Hunter Ice Skating Stadium is a kilometre away, a whole new world of frozen fun. Within 15 minutes, is the Hunter Wetlands Centre. Then there is the beautiful Lake Macquarie. The lake itself is the largest coastal saltwater lake in Australia, over four times the size of Sydney Harbour. A 4 to 5 minutes drive or if you are fit enough then it is a leisurely twenty minutes walk to the lake from us. The Hunter wineries are an easy drive. Dolphin & whale watch at Port Stephens is a great day out.
